Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement production-grade REST APIs in .NET 8+ to replace legacy Aestiva functionality.
  • Migrate complex business logic from Aestiva HTMLOS to modern, maintainable .NET code.
  • Work within a fixed database schema, optimizing queries and access patterns using Entity Framework Core.

The ideal candidate has extensive production experience building and refactoring backend services, is comfortable operating under regulatory constraints, and can own critical components end-to-end. This role focuses on backend development, not Unity or game-oriented work. You should have a proven track record delivering scalable APIs in a highly regulated, high-stakes environment.
Required capabilities include: 5+ years of continuous, recent backend .NET experience; deep hands-on proficiency with .NET/C# in production; strong, real-world API development with a focus on performance, security, and reliability; experience with MySQL/MariaDB; advanced Entity Framework Core usage; solid knowledge of API security (JWT, OAuth2, sessions); experience with AWS (Fargate, RDS, IAM, CI/CD); ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance; comfortable working within a fixed schema and constraints; familiarity with testing strategies (unit and integration) and documentation practices (Swagger/OpenAPI).
Nice-to-have: experience with payment systems (Braintree, Paymentech), Redis/queues (SQS/RabbitMQ), regulated environments (SOC 2, PCI-DSS, GDPR), and frontend integration with Next.js/Angular.

Desirable but not required

Experience in regulated or financial systems, exposure to tax/compliance-heavy environments, familiarity with frontend integration (Next.js/Angular), and knowledge of distributed systems patterns (caching, queues, eventual consistency) are a plus. Candidates with a strong ownership mindset, excellent judgment under pressure, and a proven ability to contribute immediately in complex migrations will thrive in this role.

Benefits

Senior Software Engineer (RoR)
  • EVEN
JavaScript Ruby Ruby on Rails MySQL

EVEN empowers music artists to sell their music first and stream second. On EVEN, artists set their price and quantity, and get paid instantly after each sale. Our releases give fans first access to their favorite artist's music, content, tour tickets, merchandise, and more.

We are building the future of artist-first platforms, rethinking how creators engage with fans, own their data, and earn from their work. Joining now means helping shape the early chapters of an ambitious journey to reshape the music industry.

Apply directly at getonbrd.com.

About The Role

Location: Remote / LATAM preferred
Type: Full-time / Core Team

We're looking for a backend engineer who not only writes great code, but also thinks critically about data, scalability, and product. You'll build the systems that power how music is bought, sold, and experienced, and keep them fast and reliable as we grow.

The hard problems:

You'll build the APIs, data models, and integrations that power artist storefronts, payment flows, and content delivery. It's a product with real complexity: high-value transactions, third-party integrations (including blockchain), and a platform that needs to scale without breaking trust.

This isn't a "write endpoints to spec" role. You'll have opinions about architecture, push back on approaches that don't scale, and propose things that weren't in the spec because you saw the opportunity.

We expect you to write maybe 30-40% of your code manually, the rest is directing, reviewing, and iterating with Claude, Cursor, or whatever makes you fastest. If you're still writing every line by hand, this will feel foreign. If you've already made the shift, you know why it matters.

What We're Looking For

Core:

  • Strong production experience with Ruby on Rails
  • You understand data modeling, API design, and know when to optimize vs. when to ship
  • Comfortable with PostgreSQL, MySQL and background job processing (Sidekiq or similar)
  • You're in or near LATAM time zones, or willing to overlap significantly

Bonus:

  • Experience with payments, third-party integrations, or blockchain/web3
  • Background in music, creator economy, or media-tech
  • Exposure to Next.js or frontend enough to be dangerous
  • You've built something on the side that you're proud of

Mindset:

  • You ship fast, talk to users, and improve in tight loops
  • You're energized by ambiguity, you don't need everything spec'd out to start
  • You're thoughtful and opinionated about the why behind the code
  • You use AI coding tools as part of your daily workflow, not as a novelty

Stack: Ruby on Rails, MySQL, Sidekiq, Next.js, TypeScript (frontend)

Language: Fluent English isn't required, but you should be comfortable reading technical docs in English and communicating with an international team.

Apply If You're Ready To

  • Be an early part of a mission-driven team with a fresh take on music and tech.
  • Build experiences that thousands of fans and artists interact with.
  • Work async-first with a team that values autonomy, speed, and good vibes.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Opportunities for career growth and advancement.
  • A collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Access to the latest technologies and tools to support your work.
  • Flexible work arrangements.
  • Challenging and impactful projects with a global reach.

Fully remote You can work from anywhere in the world.
Flexible hours Flexible schedule and freedom for attending family needs or personal errands.
Paid sick days Sick leave is compensated (limits might apply).
Vacation over legal EVEN gives you paid vacations over the legal minimum.
Vacation on birthday Your birthday counts as an extra day of vacation.

About The Role

Location: Remote / LATAM preferred
Type: Full-time / Core Team

We're looking for a frontend engineer who not only writes great code, but also thinks critically about design, scalability, and product. You will build modern interfaces that artists and fans love, and contribute directly to how music is bought, sold, and experienced.

The hard problems:

  • You'll build the interfaces artists use to connect with their fans, from storefronts and drops to purchase flows and content experiences.
  • It's a product with objective complexity: two distinct user types, real money changing hands, and a lot of surface area to get right.

This isn't a "pixel pusher" role. You'll have opinions about architecture, push back on designs that don't make sense, and propose things that weren't in the spec because you saw the opportunity. Senior Developer
  • BloomFam
JavaScript Front-end PostgreSQL Node.js

At BloomFam, we’re a tiny but ambitious team building a childcare marketplace that connects families and nannies in a more human, intuitive way. On the outside, we look simple — a clean swipe-to-match interface — but internally, our engineering challenges are real and exciting.

Check us out here: www.getbloomfam.com

We’re not just “fixing bugs” or “building a feature.”
We’re taking a fast-moving, AI-generated MVP and maturing it into a stable, scalable, production-ready platform that families can trust with something as important as childcare.

This requires thoughtful engineering, not patchwork.

This is not a permanent full-time employee position.
BloomFam is specifically looking for a project-based senior engineer who can:

(1) Audit the current codebase
(2) Stabilize and refactor the MVP
(3) Implement testing, QA, and reliability improvements
(4) Provide short-term technical leadership during the stabilization period

Opportunity published on Get on Board.

Job functions

Why This Role Matters (and Why It’s Exciting)

This isn’t a “code monkey” role.
This is a technical co-pilot role.

You aren’t inheriting a huge legacy system—you’re shaping the foundation of a new platform at the moment where your decisions define everything that comes after:

  • Architecture
  • Performance
  • Testing culture
  • Developer experience
  • Reliability
  • User trust
  • Future mobile app structure

Engineering at this stage is highly leveraged:
Every improvement impacts thousands of future parents and nannies.

If you enjoy stabilizing early-stage products, improving messy systems, and building long-term technical foundations, this is the best type of challenge.

About you:

  • You get autonomy
  • You get ownership
  • You make big architectural decisions

This role isn’t about maintaining code — it’s about transforming an MVP into a real, stable, scalable product.

The Challenge (and Opportunity)

BloomFam is at a perfect inflection point:
The idea works. People want it. There’s demand.
But the tech needs a real senior engineer to take it from clever prototype to reliable platform.

We’re looking for someone who thrives on:

  • untangling complexity
  • solving messy problems
  • refactoring with intention
  • building stability
  • improving performance
  • creating future-proof systems

Qualifications and requirements

The perfect engineer for BloomFam is someone who:

  • Has 5–10+ years of full-stack experience
  • Is expert in React/Next.js + Node.js
  • Backend Experience: Express, API Development
  • Database Experience: Firebase, Supabase, PostgreSQL
  • DevOps: CI/CD
  • Has experience stabilizing messy or AI-generated code
  • Loves untangling complexity
  • Communicates clearly and proactively
  • Can implement testing, monitoring, staging, and best practices
  • Works well with solo founders
  • Is based in Latin America
  • Wants ownership and long-term impact

This is someone who enjoys taking a fast-moving MVP and turning it into a clean, stable, scalable product.

Desirable skills

  • Marketplaces
  • Matching platform
  • Real-time messaging/chat system
  • Social apps
  • Dating/Swiping apps
  • WebSockets, Socket.IO
  • Firebase/ Supabase
  • Next.js + Node.js
  • Full-stack lead or senior engineer

Conditions

🕒 Flexible Work Schedule

We focus on outcomes, not hours.
You’ll have autonomy to:

  • Set your own working hours
  • Manage your own workflow
  • Communicate asynchronously when needed

🌎 Fully Remote, LATAM-Friendly

Work from anywhere in Latin America with full alignment to US West Coast hours. No commute, no unnecessary meetings, and full flexibility in how you structure your day.

🚀 Work With a Mission-Driven Company

BloomFam isn’t another generic SaaS tool — we help families with one of the most stressful parts of modern life: finding safe, reliable childcare.

Your work directly supports:

  • Parents balancing work and family
  • Caregivers earning more income
  • Communities where families thrive

This is the kind of work you can feel good about.

🤝 Respectful, Founder-Friendly Culture

You’ll work directly with the founder, who:

  • Understands product and GTM deeply
  • Respects engineering and relies on your expertise
  • Wants a long-term partnership, not a transactional freelancer
