What You’ll Do: 

Pricing & Promotional Execution

  • Support the development and execution of pricing, bundling, and promotional strategies across assigned offers.

About the Role

Our retail platform is scaling across multiple brands and needs a senior engineer who can own a service area end-to-end — setting technical direction, writing production code daily, and raising the bar for the developers around you. As Software Engineer (Team Lead), you will serve as the technical owner for a core area of our retail service cloud, designing approaches, contributing code, and mentoring engineers while driving the roadmap from legacy replacement through new feature delivery.

    We are building and scaling a high-performance consumer lending platform and are looking for a Fraud Risk Analyst to help protect the business from identity fraud, first-party fraud, and credit abuse.

    This role sits at the intersection of fraud, credit, and analytics, and will directly impact early loss performance and portfolio quality.

    You will be responsible for identifying fraud patterns, building detection strategies, and implementing controls that prevent bad actors from entering the portfolio.

    This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and biased toward action, not just case review.

    You will work closely with Credit, Product, Operations and Engineering to ensure fraud risk is properly identified and separated from credit risk in decisioning.

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

    Required

    • Degree in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or a related field
    • 4–6 years of experience in fraud, risk, or analytics, preferably in fintech, lending, or financial services
    • Strong analytical skills with experience using SQL, Python, Excel, or similar tools to analyze large datasets

    What you'll own
    • CollaborativeProduct Direction : Partner closely with Product Management to identify which problems are worth solving, translate user insights into clear design strategies, and shape product direction within your area
    • End-to-End Delivery : Own features from early discovery through shipped products. You will make design decisions throughout implementation, working closely with Engineering to ensure high-quality execution.

    • Design-to-Code Synergy : You will bridge the gap between design and engineering. You’ll manage advanced Figma structures (variables, modes, and multi-tier tokens) and work with developers to ensure our system translates seamlessly into a high-performance React (or relevant framework) codebase.
    • Operational Excellence :  You’ll create documentation and workflows that empower other designers to move faster. This includes establishing best practices for component usage, accessibility standards, and maintaining a "source of truth" that scales across remote teams.
    • User Understanding : Plan and run discovery, usability testing, and post-launch analysis. Use research insights to inform design decisions and iterate based on real user behavior.


    Your Process:
    • AI-Enabled Design Workflows :
    Apply AI thoughtfully across the design process, from discovery and exploration to prototyping and iteration. Use AI-powered tools to accelerate ideation, generate alternatives, and explore complex problem spaces while maintaining strong design judgment.

    You will help define how AI fits into our design workflows, including:
    • Discovery and synthesis support
    • Rapid concept exploration and prototyping
    • Leveraging modern Figma capabilities such as Auto Layout, variables, components, and AI-assisted workflows
    • Collaborating effectively with engineering-aware workflows (e.g., structured components and design-to-code alignment


    What we're looking for
    • 6+ years designing digital products at tech companies, with a portfolio showing strong UX and visual design craft

    As a Sr. Software Engineer, Back-End, you’ll own some of the most consequential systems at Rebuy. Your primary anchor is our billing and payments infrastructure — the engine that determines how merchants are charged, how partners get paid, and how financial balances flow across our entire product suite. This is genuinely complex financial engineering. It requires deep PHP and Go expertise, careful architecture, and judgment that no automated tool can replicate. Merchant billing runs daily, touches real revenue, and demands someone who understands both the technical and business dimensions of every decision.

    Alongside billing, you’ll grow into a broader platform portfolio — the partner portal, data ETL pipelines, customer-facing APIs, and reporting infrastructure that power the business. And in the near term, you’ll play a critical role in a significant technical migration: moving our legacy Code Igniter 2 codebase to Code Igniter 4, including work tied to increasing our enterprise market share. This migration requires hands-on PHP expertise and cannot be deferred.

Work closely with the Product Owner, Engineering Manager, and peers across billing, payments, partner tools, and data infrastructure to define requirements, estimate effort, and drive solutions forward.     Who You Are

    The Hard Skills:

    • Experience building or maintaining billing, payments, or financial systems — including working with payment processors, subscription engines, invoicing pipelines, or similar financial infrastructure in a production SaaS environment.

    • Educational background in CS // Engineering or a similar area.

    • 5+ years of hands-on experience building backend applications with PHP and Go, with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-traffic systems.

    • Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable, and maintainable RESTful APIs in PHP and Go, with a deep understanding of API design patterns, versioning, and performance optimization.

    • Experience with cloud-based technologies, preferably GCP.

    • Strong understanding of a performant SaaS environment.

    • Experience in a Scrum/Agile environment.

    • Experience with the Atlassian suite, including Jira and Bitbucket.

    • Solid understanding of security fundamentals as they apply to backend and financial systems — including secure coding practices, authentication/authorization patterns, data encryption, and awareness of current vulnerability trends (e.g. OWASP Top 10)

    • An introductory call with someone from the Talent Acquisition team for about 30 min.

    • Interview with the Hiring Manager to learn more about you and answer your questions about Rebuy and this role

    • A coding challenge and white boarding exercise to show us your skillset during a live panel interview with a few team members.

    • Short final interview with our CEO and COO where you’ll get to learn more about Rebuy.

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $130,000 - $180,000 USD annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
